I don’t know about all of you, but July has been a hot one in my area — and when I am on my travels!<\/p>\n

And honestly, me and heat don’t mix too well. I’m not a fan of the humidity, anyway. I can deal with heat to a point — but when it gets hot, humid, and sticky? Not so much. It also means I don’t necessarily want to go outside so much, which makes me happy that the theme this month was Photographer’s Choice. That way, it’s a tad more open for me to fill in the blanks.<\/p>\n

Believe me — I basically could have made this post Baseball: Round 2. Alas, I decided against that.<\/p>\n

These type of themes, which I’ve done a few times in the year’s I’ve run this challenge, are usually fun. It gives people a chance to take photos of things they enjoy and share different things. So I’m looking forward to this month’s submissions.<\/p>\n

For me, I did a few things I love, but one photo I went way outside my comfort zone and did some “street photography.” I have a hard time in situations like these because I feel like I am going into situations that should be more private. However, in this situation, I had my doubts as to the truthfulness of this person. First, his dress. Second, when we walked past him a second time, he had walked away from his spot to have a smoke — and was on a phone. The phone looked like a smart phone. Let’s just say I had my doubts on things, so I didn’t feel bad taking this image. Plus, public area, so …<\/p>\n

Overall I enjoyed this month’s photo challenge and it will be fun to see how others tackled the theme.<\/p>\n

1.\u00a0Round and Round<\/strong><\/p>\n

On a trip to New Hampshire\/Maine to visit some friends, I forgot the top part of my tripod. So, to get this long-exposure shot, I had to utilize a lifeguard stand and try and stay as still as possible. I’m happy in how it came out.<\/p>\n

2.\u00a0Warmups<\/strong><\/p>\n

At a game in Lehigh Valley, we had seats just in front of the bullpen. It made for some pretty cool photo chances, but I liked this image before anybody even got there — just a few baseballs and the rosin bag on the mound.<\/p>\n

3.\u00a0Slide!<\/strong><\/p>\n

Here’s Cameron’s monthly appearance. I met up with Cam and his folks during a Fourth of July Celebration in a neighboring town and he was on the playground, having a blast as usual.<\/p>\n

4.\u00a0Fireworks<\/strong><\/p>\n

For one of the local fireworks displays, I actually went with the tripod and remote to try and capture the shots. I was happy with how this one came out.<\/p>\n

5.\u00a0Street life<\/strong><\/p>\n

I explained this one a little above, and I’ll let the photo speak for itself.<\/p>\n
